Thanks, I came here through the periodic digest email.

Is the upcoming book-in-progress based on numba examples in the sense that it is showing off numba source code? or is it a book about how to use numba? sorry for not having the right disambiguation mindset on my own.

And does Profila assume that your code is numba decorated, or does it also work on pure python or cython?

The book just uses Numba examples, it’s not specifically about Numba.

Profila is mostly for Numba, though in theory it might work with Cython too with a little tweaking. Python code you can use many other more suitable profilers.
