Where to start contributing?

Hey,

I am trying to get started adding some features to numba. I started by looking into open issues tagged good_first_issue, but they seem to be outdated, most of them are resolved or/and have open PR, so it is hard to pin down what of these still awaits contribution and what is not a moving because it is not a priority.

Is there a better place to look for features to implement? Maybe a to-do list or more up to date issues?

You can try adding support for optional arguments in your favorite functions. For me I was working on support the optional arguments for numpy.frombuffer

It helps to run numba through a debugger and see what happens when. Personally I don’t think the code is the easiest to grok since I kinda need types in my life. So if you need any help I will try to see if I can I help.
